- The sun rising on the following morning without rays; as it was narrated by Ubayy ibn Ka’b regarding the sign of Laylat al-Qadr, which the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) informed his companions that its sign is: “That the sun rises on the morning of that day white, with no rays”.
- The weather is mild, and the night is neither hot nor cold, but temperate and comfortable.
- The night is calm, and a Muslim feels an unusual sense of peace and tranquility. Also, the sky is clear, and the atmosphere is still, without any storms or disturbances.
Virtues of Laylat al-Qadr
This blessed night, which witnessed the beginning of the revelation of the Quran, has great virtues, and during the following lines, we will get to know them.
- Laylat al-Qadr is one of the greatest nights in Islam; worship in it is better than worship in a thousand months, which is more than 83 years of worship.
- Forgiveness of all sins. On the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: “Whoever stands (in prayer) during Laylat al-Qadr out of faith and seeking reward, his previous sins will be forgiven; and whoever fasts Ramadan out of faith and seeking reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.”
- On this night, the angels descend to earth with goodness, blessings, mercy, and forgiveness.
- A night free from evil and harm, in which acts of obedience, goodness, and righteousness abound, and safety from punishment increases; for it is peace in its entirety.
